Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These terms apply to negotiateher.com, our free online course at elearning.negotiateher.com and the NegotiateHer newsletter. They are provided by NegotiateHer GmbH, a company registered in Switzerland (“NegotiateHer”, “we”, “us”). By using our websites you agree to them. If anything is unclear, write to us at success@negotiateher.com.

About our content

Everything on our websites, in the online course, in our newsletter and on our podcast is general information about negotiation and careers. It is not legal, financial, tax or employment advice, and reading it does not create a coaching or advisory relationship. For decisions about your own situation, please take advice that fits it.

We take care to keep our information accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or always up to date.

Coaching, workshops and talks

Coaching sessions, team workshops and speaking engagements are agreed with us individually. The scope, fees, dates, cancellation terms and any other conditions are set out in the proposal or confirmation we send you, and those terms apply to that engagement.

Booking a free introductory call does not commit you to anything.

The free online course

The course at elearning.negotiateher.com is free of charge. To start it, you give us your first name and email address and agree to receive course updates and our newsletter.

The lessons, quizzes and certificate of completion are for your personal, non-commercial use. The certificate confirms that you completed our course; it is not an accredited qualification. We may update, pause or withdraw the course at any time.

Quiet Power and other purchases

Our book Quiet Power is sold by Amazon and other retailers. When you buy it, you buy from that retailer under its terms, and the retailer handles payment, delivery and returns. We do not take payments on our websites.

Free resources

Free downloads such as the Negotiation Kickstart Template and our list of negotiation courses are for your personal use. Please do not sell or republish them, or present them as your own. You are very welcome to share links to them.

Intellectual property

The text, images, videos, course material, logos and the NegotiateHer name on our websites belong to NegotiateHer GmbH or Dr. Gitanjali Ponnappa, or are used with permission. Quiet Power © Dr. Gitanjali Ponnappa.

You may quote short passages with credit and a link to the source. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.

Privacy: how we handle your information

What we collect

When you sign up for the newsletter, download a resource, start the online course, send us an enquiry or unsubscribe, we receive what you type into the form: your first name and email address and, for enquiries, your company and message. We also record which page you used and when.

Why we use it

  • To send you what you asked for: the welcome email, the free template, or a reply to your enquiry.
  • To send you our monthly newsletter, if you subscribed or started the online course.
  • To keep a record of your consent and of any request to unsubscribe.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it is kept

Your details are stored in our Google Workspace account (Google Forms, Google Sheets and Gmail), which Google operates for us under its data-processing terms. Our websites are hosted on GitHub Pages and load fonts and icons from content-delivery networks such as Google Fonts; like any web server, these may record your IP address for security purposes.

How long we keep it

Subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. After that we keep only a note that you unsubscribed, so that we never email you again by mistake. Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and for any work that follows.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask us what information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Write to success@negotiateher.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local data-protection authority.

Unsubscribing

Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time on our unsubscribe page.

Cookies and your browser

Our websites do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics. The online course remembers in your own browser that you have signed up and how far you have got, so you do not have to sign in. Course videos play through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you play one.

Links to other websites

We link to websites we do not control, such as Amazon, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and event pages. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Liability

We provide our websites, course and free resources as they are. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using them or relying on their content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Swiss law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version on this page applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts at the registered office of NegotiateHer GmbH have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
