Quiet Power Is Coming
The Pre-Launch of My Book
A Note from Gitanjali
Last summer, I was sitting in Portugal with my laptop open, staring at a blank page and a very big idea. I remember the light, the heat, and the quiet pressure of knowing that if I was going to write this book, I had to begin now.
From that first chapter in summer through autumn and deep into winter, this book has taken shape. It has been written early in the mornings, refined in the evenings, questioned and reworked too many times.
What started as notes became chapters. What started as conversations became structure.
Quiet Power is not a side project. It is the natural extension of the podcast, the online course, and the past two years of focused work under NegotiateHer. But it is also the extension of nearly thirty years of professional life. This book gathers all of that into one place.

Quiet Power Pre-Launch
Quiet Power is currently in pre-launch.
This book is an amalgamation of my lived experience, structured frameworks, and the stories of others who chose to speak honestly about their careers. It is nonfiction, but it reads through human stories. The intention is that somewhere in those pages, you will recognize yourself.
You can now sign up to receive free chapters and register your interest ahead of the official launch.

Learn From Many Stories, Not Just One
Quiet Power does not only contain my stories. It includes the voices of people from different cultures, generations, industries, and life experiences. Each one contributed not just an anecdote, but a decision they took in their careers.
Study other people's turning points and identify one action you can adopt immediately.
When someone from another background describes how they handled bias, asked for scope, negotiated pay, or chose to walk away, do not just admire it. Extract the move and make it yours.
Thinking Your Struggle Is Unique
Many professionals believe their career challenges are isolated or personal. They think they are the only ones hesitating before asking for more responsibility, more clarity, or more compensation.
The truth is simpler. Patterns repeat across cultures, levels, and industries. Several of these recurring mistakes are addressed directly in the book:
Avoiding the ask.
Over-preparing but under-speaking.
Shrinking in the presence of louder voices.
You are not alone in these patterns. And once you recognize them as patterns, you can interrupt them.
"This is important to me, and I'd like to discuss it properly."
It is direct, measured, and difficult to dismiss.
Determination
We speak often about values. One of mine is determination.
Writing this book required six months of disciplined sitting down, even on days when I really wanted to be doing something else. It also required people.
To those who contributed their stories, who met deadlines, who shared honestly, and who trusted this process. To the beta readers who gave continuous feedback while the manuscript was still evolving. Your engagement strengthened this book in ways that readers may never fully see.
This month, reflect on one area in your work where determination, not talent, will make the difference.

From Me to You
If this work resonates with you, I have one request. Please consider forwarding this email to someone in your network who might benefit from reading Quiet Power. The pre-launch phase matters very much to me. Your early interest and support matters so much!
And as always, thank you for being part of this journey.
P.S. The book complements the online course and the podcast. If you have followed the episodes or taken the course, you will recognize the foundations. The book simply brings everything together in a deeper, more structured way.
